Answering, "As a follower of Christ, I cannot give my vote
to either Bush or Kerry!"

PART VI:
Issue of Gay Marriage:
I addressed this issue
in
PART III of ‘Answering the claim that
neither candidate is going to bring us closer to God.’ Based on that
article, as a follower of Christ, I trust the Lord and hope to vote for
Bush because he is the candidate that will help uphold the sanctity of
marriage between man and woman.
PART
VII:
Issue of the Poor!
I addressed this issue
in
PART V of ‘Answering the claim that
neither candidate is going to bring us closer to God.’ Based on that
article, as a follower of Christ, I don’t believe either candidate is
going to make a major difference for the poor so I could go either way.
PART
VIII:
Issue of Economy!
I do not let the issue
of the economy decide who I should vote for because other issues are
more important to me. I also believe when those issues are handled well,
our economy will also improve. So, I am sticking with the Bush
administration.
PART IX:
Issue of Environment!
I do not let the issue
of environment decide who I should vote for too because I believe other
issues are more pertinent than the environment. We can have a beautiful
empire with the environment being wonderful but what good is an
environment when judgment comes because of sin. Garden of Eden was a
beautiful environment with everything but man’s sin caused judgment and
man was banished from the Garden. My point being when we take care of
immoral issues and choose to put a president in office who will help the
unborn and protect the sanctity of marriage, I believe without the
nation facing judgment, the Lord will give the leaders the conviction
with the environment too. Humans in their frailty can only do so much.
This is why I do not let the environment be such an issue to decide an
election. We are to be stewards of what God gave us. I do hope and pray
that Bush will take environmental issues seriously but in light of other
circumstances this is not major for me. As a follower of Christ, I am
going to trust the Lord and vote for Bush.
PART X:
Issue of Israel:
Both Bush and Kerry
support Israel. There are those who do not believe that Israel’s
policies should be supported. However, I believe Israel should be
supported and the nations that help Israel become more blessed than
nations that fight Israel in the long run.
I find it so
fascinating and miraculous how protected Israel is even though
surrounded by hostile Middle Eastern nations. I believe it is the hand
of God protecting Israel. I believe Israel should protect their land
from being split. Since both candidates support Israel, I trust the Lord
hope to vote for Bush.
It really shocks me
and hurts me when I hear or see so much animosity among some Christians
towards America’s support of Israel. I am a strong supporter of Israel
and my reasons can be summed up by an editorial that can be accessed at
‘Why Christians support Israel’
PART XI:
Issue of Credibility:
As politicians, not
many candidates have a strong credibility record but I do look at their
records on what they voted for and accomplished. I believe Bush has been
more credible than Kerry. As a follower of Christ, I trust the Lord and
hope to vote for Bush in this issue too.
As followers of Christ,
may we make our vote count by voting! If we decide not to vote for any
candidate and we are passionate about issues such as abortion and gay
marriage, that will give Kerry more votes and put him in the presidency.
Those two issues are the most important to me. I hope they are important
to you too!
