SCRIPTURE:

How many of us talk more than we listen?
Many of us do that with each other and also with God. We talk to the Lord and then wonder, why God has not answered our prayer. God desires to help us and answer us. The problem lies within us though. It is not that God has not answered us but we have not listened to the answer God gives us.

King Jehosophat was the ruler of Judea. He heard that the armies of the ammonites and Moabites were gathering around with other armies to defeat his land. The king and the people of Judea poured out their hearts to the Lord in confession and pleading. Then he listened to the Lord.

While they were marching on to battle, King Jehosophat and the army started praising the Lord saying, "Give thanks to the Lord, for His loves endures forever." As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the Ammonites and Moabites and they were defeated. Not one of King Jehosophat's army had casualties. King Jehosophat and the people prayed, listened, and obeyed the Lord and the Lord rescued them. (2 Chronicles 20)

Friend, I don't know what you are going through right now. I don't know if you feel that God never answers you. But let me tell you that Jesus loves you very much and desires to give you the best. Open your heart to Him and listen. He will show you mighty things that you do not even know!

Let His Word speak to you and follow Him through the think and thin! We must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and not become angry for anger does not make us what God wants us to be.

When we are angry with others or even with ourselves, we give the devil a mighty foothold. We should turn the anger into prayer towards the Lord and listen to what He wants us to do. He will tell you and me friend. Jehoshophat would not have been able to defeat the enemy if he had just focused on the problem at hand but instead He focused on the Lord listening to the Lord.

Sometimes when we listen to the Lord, the answer does not make sense at all. In those times, it is easy not to follow through but listening and obeying is not done only when things make sense to us. We cannot be leaning on to our own understanding but in all our ways when we acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths!

May you come to listen and obey the Lord allowing Him to guide you and lead you now and forevermore! Amen!

Jeremiah 33:3 says: "Call unto me and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not" (KJV)

Jesus says in John 16:24, "Ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full" (KJV)

Problems getting you down
Always letting you frown
Others making you mad
No solutions make you sad
Well CHRIST can make you GLAD (Psalm 146:5)

All your burdens CHRIST will bear. (Matt 11:28-30)
Talk to Him, He will hear. (Jeremiah 29:12)
Very, Very, ... much JESUS does care. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
So much He loves you (Ephesians 5:2)
Cause He died for you, on the tree (CROSS) (1 Cor 6:20)
So you can be set free (Luke 19:10)
When you confess whatever you do. (1 John 1:9)
JESUS will give you all the joy (John 15:11)
Whether you are an adult, teenager, girl, or boy (Romans 15:13)

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, you want us to listen and obey! Lord, we know we need to do that but it is not always easy! Please help us Jesus. Hear our prayers and answer us. Thank you so much Jesus when our problems are getting us down, we can be like Jehoshophat and praise you Lord instead of frowning on the situations at hand. When others make us mad and we become sad, please help us to focus on you who can make us glad. Thank we need not fear wherever we are because you are there our burdens to bear. You hear us! Thank you so much Jesus for all your care that you died on the cross for us and came back to life to save us as we turn to thee to set us free. We want to find our joy in you whether we are a girl or boy! Thank you so much Jesus! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

If you want to be a soldier in the Lord's army, you can become it right now. Now is the time of Salvation! You do not have to wait but can pray this prayer and give your life to Christ to serve Him daily! There is no draft but coming to Christ is voluntary. He loves you so much and wants you to come to Him! He will take care of you, guiding you and leading you!

Prayer:
Dear Jesus, I love you. Thank you for loving me so much and thank you for choosing the cross to die for me. You became the Son of Man and lived here on earth. Then you humbled yourself and became obedient to death-even death on the cross. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. You died on the cross so that I can be covered in your blood and cleansed by your blood as I acknowledge that I need you and cannot enter Heaven without you being my pathway. So, Jesus I confess all my sins to you and all the ways I have tried to get into Heaven when you already provided the means and the Way. Thank you for all that you have done for me. The cross is the place, a wonderful place where accused and condemned find mercy and grace. Thank you Jesus, it is at the cross where the wrongs we have done and the wrongs done to us were nailed at the cross. Thank you Jesus, at the cross you died for our sins and at the cross you gave your life for us. I thank you for that and thank you for coming back to life to save us. Thank you Jesus for being there for me! Thank you for loving me. I love you Jesus! Please take me as I am and make my life into something that you will be proud of. I surrender my life to you and need your help to live for you. I am forever grateful for what you have done for me and I can never repay you. I want to live for you and need your help. Help me Jesus please. I thank you Jesus for saving me! Thank you for hearing my prayer and answering me. Whatever your will give me the willingness and strength to bear it. Thank you Jesus! I acknowledge you as my Lord and Personal Savior! In Your Name I Pray precious Jesus! Amen!

Friend, if you have prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, you are a new creation in Christ and all old things are passed away and everything has become new! You may feel something or may not but don’t base it on feelings but base your new life in Christ on the promises of our Savior who will never leave you nor forsake you! Amen!

Spend time in His word and let the Lord speak to you! Start out in the Gospel of John! You can also check out the Gospel of Mark which are the devotionals I have been going through. Learn from Jesus through study and prayer. Also find yourself a church fellowship and a college fellowship you can be part of where you can be part of a community of believers to supplement your own walk with the Lord. Let it be a Bible-believing and Bible-breathing church! Believe in Bible Live Eternally!
