Hi everyone,

May you all experience the grace of the Lord Jesus as you go through this summer. May His love empower you and His peace give you reassurance that everything will be fine when you rest in Him! Amen!

Quiet Times (Psalm 139, Proverbs 9, John 9)

Promises to claim:

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Psalm 139:13-14)

"For the reverence and fear of God are basic to all wisdom. Knowing God results in every other kind of understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

"'Yes, Lord,' the man said, 'I believe!' And he worshipped Jesus."  (John 9:38)

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt as we seek the Lord daily, He will make us realize what we should be doing in our lives and show us in which areas He wants to help us change. In my own life I know, it starts with the reverence and fear of God that results in wisdom.

I have also realized how easy it is to rationalize an action we commit or want to proceed with when Scripture clearly speaks against it. This is where the danger occurs and we start giving into the viles of the devil. I have learned when I truly want to focus on the Lord and get to know the Lord on a personal level, I would be careful in evaluating the results of my action before proceeding with them. This way I can please the Lord as I constantly keep in mind 'What would Jesus do?'

When we have so much love for the Lord and His love permeates our being, we would be motivated in doing what Jesus would do in a situation rather than what our own flesh wants to do. I do not know what you are seeking right now. Many times it can be tempting to seek things that are not of the Lord and we can fall into that temptation. Our Lord knows that and He promises us that when we get to know Him it will result in every other kind of understanding. I know as you seek the Lord first in your life, God will bring things into perspective even if things seem cloudy for a while. Jesus loves you so much and what He asks of you, He asks of you because He knows that is best for you.

This summer, take time to sit at the feet of Jesus as you study and meditate on His Word. Jesus wants to be there for you and guide you through each day. He wants you to depend on Him and get your daily nourishment from His Word. He loves you so much and reaches out to you.

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33)

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit everything you do to the Lord and trust in Him to help you do it and He will" (Psalm 37:4-5)

"I want you to trust in me in your times of trouble, says the Lord, so I can rescue you and you can give me the glory." (Psalm 50:15)

"Come to me all ye who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give  you rest" (Matthew 11:28)

"I will instruct you and guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch your progress" (Psalm 32:8)

Claim God's promises and rest in them. Having God's promises memorized and claiming them is what gets me through the rough times too. It is when I dwell in my own misery or having my own way that I falter. May you all find the peace that comes from our Savior Jesus Christ! Amen

Prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus you know the sins that lurk in our hearts. You know the times we have done wrong and we feel so guilty about it. We are so sorry Lord when we dishonor you by our actions, when we let our pride come in the way of humility, and when we don't seek you with our whole heart. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. We confess that we have sinned Oh Lord. Please forgive us and cleanse us by your precious cleansing blood. Wash us and we will be whiter than snow. Thank you so much Jesus for dying for our sins and coming back to life to save us. Thank you for being there for us and we can rest in your arms of love. We turn our lives over to thee and ask you to please work in us. Thank you for loving us so much and giving us wonderful promises to claim. We turn our life over to thee and to the usage of your plan. Thank you we can always turn to thee and rest in your eternal care, for the promises you give us uplift us. Help us to know you on a personal level and our purpose in life would be to know you as our Lord and Personal Savior first of all and make everything else secondary. Thank you so much Jesus! Thank you Lord for hearing us and answering our prayer! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!

Love in Christ,

Ramesh
