Steeler fans celebrate at Cathedral of
Learning as Steelers surge to Super Bowl XL seeking Seattle Seahawks

As the
Pittsburgh Steelers surged to Super Bowl XL, hundreds of Pitt students
flocked fearlessly for ‘The Bus’ as faithful fans waved terrible towels
and banners with Pittsburgh Steelers insignia on the veranda of the
Cathedral of Learning, Sunday night of January 22, 2006.
The crowd
was so large that Pitt Police had to close of Bigelow Boulevard for the
students to celebrate in exuberant joy after the Steelers stuck the
Broncos with their first home loss of the AFC Championship game, 34-17.
Chants of
‘Take Jerome Home’, ‘Take Jerome Home’ could be heard all around as fans
faithfully donned Pittsburgh Steeler jerseys of Rothlisberger, Ward,
Palomalu, Bleier, and so on.
Super
Bowl XL will be played in Detriot, Michigan on February 05, 2006.
