An estimated 1000 gathered in the city of Pittsburgh to march against racism and police injustice from Oakland to the City County building on Martin Luther King Jr holiday holding signs such as, ‘RACISM KILLS MILLIONS WORLD WIDE’, ‘WHY MUST ENDING RACISM STILL BE A DREAM?’, ‘THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIGHT TO DO WHAT’S RIGHT’, ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER’,  ‘I CANT BREATHE’ ‘ONE LOVE, ONE DESTINY’, ‘STOP RACIST POLICE TERROR’, ‘INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE’, ‘STRONG COMMUNITIES MAKE POLICE OBSOLETE’, ‘In Any Language: Salaam, PEACE, Paz, Shalom, Mir…One Thought, One Goal’, etc.

The protestors marched for more than 2.5 miles in the chilly weather on the night of Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. The march ended with speakers speaking out against racism, war, and police terror with an emphasis on community involvement to bring change.
