“Questions
to Ponder for 'This Day in Biblical Verses: 1:20”
Compiled by Ramesh C. Reddy
Editors Note: Every single Bible verse
needs to be taken in it's context. Our hope is that by reading the
Bible verses pertaining to the day, you will be curious and read
the
whole chapter of each book of the Bible mentioned here and memorize
the verses. We hope you will use the questions to ponder and reflect
on God's Word.
Questions to ponder after 1:20 verses:
If someone were to ask you, what is the pathway to God, what would
your response be and why? How does Colossians 1:20 challenge you and
what 3 promises can you claim from it?
When you have gone through trials, what can others say about how you
live your life and why? How does Philippians 1:20 challenge you?
What could happen to those who continously oppose abortion and baby
killing? How can Exodus 1:20 challenge you?
What have you asked the Lord for and what has been the outcome? How
can 1 Samuel 1:20 encourage us?
What can you do to ensure that your employer will see you as the
best compared to every other employee? How does Daniel 1:20 not only
challenge you but encourage you?
What do you do when the Lord calls you to do something? How can Mark
1:20 challenge you?
What can you be assured of regarding God's promises? What can you
learn from 2 Corinthians 1:20?
What is your view when it comes to the resurrection of Jesus and
why? What do you learn from Ephesians 1:20?
Who existed from the beginning and what is He responsible for? What
do you learn from 1 Peter 1:20, Genesis 1:20, and Romans 1:20?
What is the wisdom of the world compared to the wisdom of God? What
do you learn from Proverbs 1:20 and 1 Corinthians 1:20?
When you feel you have been wronged, what do you do immediately? How
is your response in comparison to Matthew 1:20 and how does it
challenge you?
If God tells you something and you don't believe it, what do you
think should happen to you and why? How is your response similar or
different to what happened to Zechariah in Luke 1:20? Why do you
think that happened?
What can happen if we continue to not listen to the Lord and why? As
you keep your responses in mind, what do you learn from Isaiah 1:20,
Lamentations 1:20, 1 Timothy 1:20, and Joel 1:20?
Why is anger spoken out against? What can you learn from James 1:20?
What can you do for a brother or sister in Christ who is suffering?
What can the outcome be? What can we learn from Philemon 1:20?
How should you build yourself up? What can you learn from Jude 1:20?
When it comes to prophecy of Scripture, what do you know? What can
you learn from 2 Peter 1:20?
"It was through what His Son did that God cleared a path for
everything to come to him -- all things in heaven and on earth--for
Christ's death on the cross has made peace with God for all by His
Blood." (Colossians 1:20, TLB)
"For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do
anything that will cause me to be ashamed of myself but that I will
always be ready to speak out boldly for Christ while I am going
through all these trials here, just as I have in the past; and that
I will always be an honor to Christ whether I live or whether I must
die." (Philippians 1:20, TLB)
"And God blessed the midwives because they were God-fearing women,
So the people of Israel continued to multiply and to become as
mighty nation." (Exodus 1:20, TLB)
"So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a
son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the LORD for
him." (1 Samuel 1:20, TLB)
"And in all matters requiring information and balanced judgment, the
king found these young men's advice ten times better than that of
all the skilled magicians and wise astrologers in his realm."
(Daniel 1:20, TLB)
"He called them too, and immediately they left their father Zebedee
in the boat with the hired men and went with him." (Mark 1:20, TLB)
"He carries out and fulfills all of God's promises, no matter how
many of them there are; and we have told everyone how faithful he
is, giving glory to his name." (2 Corinthians 1:20, NIV)
"He exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at
his right hand in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 1:20, NIV)
"God chose him for his purpose long before the world began, but only
recently was he brought into public view, in these last days, as a
blessing to you." (1 Peter 1:20, TLB)
"Then God said, "Let the waters teem with fish and other life, and
let the skies be filled with birds of every kind." (Genesis 1:20,
TLB)
"Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God
made, and have known of his existence and great eternal power. So
they will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgment
Day." (Romans 1:20, TLB)
"Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the
public square." (Proverbs 1:20, NIV)
"Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is
the philospoher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of
the world?" (1 Corinthians 1:20, NIV)
"As he lay awake considering this, he fell into a dream, and saw an
angel standing beside him. "Joseph, son of David," the angel said,
"don't hesitate to take Mary as your wife! For the child within her
has been conceived by the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 1:20, TLB)
"And now, because you haven't believed me, you are to be stricken
silent, unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will
certainly come true at the proper time." (Luke 1:20, TLB)
"But if you keep on turning your backs and refusing to listen to me,
you will be killed by your enemies; I, the Lord, have spoken."
(Isaiah 1:20, TLB)
"See, O Lord, my anguish; my heart is broken and my soul despairs,
for I have terribly rebelled. In the streets the sword awaits me; at
home, disease and death." (Lamentations 1:20, TLB)
"Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples of this. I had to give
them over to Satan to punish them until they could learn not to
bring shame to the name of Christ." (1 Timothy 1:20, TLB)
"For anger doesn't make us good, as God demands that we must be."
(James 1:20, TLB)
"Even the wild animals pant for you; the streams of water have dried
up and fire has devoured the pastures in the wilderness." (Joel
1:20, NIV)
"Yes, dear brother, give me joy with this loving act and my weary
heart will praise the Lord." (Philemon 1:20, TLB)
"But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy
faith and praying in the Holy Spirit." (Jude 1:20, TLB)
"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came
about by the prophet's own interpretation of things." (2 Peter 1:20,
TLB)
