"For Friendship, Frick Park Picnic Promotes Pitt's OT Outing"Sunday, June 01, 2008 Editors Note: Pittsburgh Standard is not responsible for ad content from Google ads which we may not always agree with. Joy expressed on the faces of these students on the first day of June is what they hope others whose lives they touch through the Occupational Therapy program would one day express!
For that to happen they are embarking on a three-year journey of commitment, dedication, and hard work to benefit those less fortunate who need the assistance and help of loving, caring, and patient therapists. Before they start that journey, they convened at Frick Park at the intersection of Forbes & Braddock for a picnic on a Sunday afternoon to build comradeship joined by Pitt Greek life members Melissa of Chi Omega and Alicia of Delta Phi Epsilon who are seen in the middle of the picture. Occupational therapy program is definitely not Greek life but the commitment to leadership, service, and dedication will make each of these students excel in becoming hope givers to the weak and vulnerable they come across during the course of the program. Go with God giving your best that one day you can make a difference in the lives of those you touch with your love, care, and patience! May you all help each other to become a community of students working together for a common goal for the benefit of humanity. "Carry ye one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ!"
