Under Savior's Instruction Now Empowers Servitude Scripturally"

SCRIPTURE:
“When he had gone a little
farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat,
preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their
father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him." (Mark 1:19-20, NIV)
Observations:
I asked myself what are the capabilities
of Jesus? 1. Jesus
is capable of calling people to Himself.
2. Jesus is capable of seeing what other
people are doing.
3. Jesus is capable of calling people without delay.
4. Jesus is capable of calling members of families to
follow Him.
Observations:
I asked myself what do I learn about the
commitment of Jesus?
1. Jesus is committed to take people along
with Him. 2. Jesus
is committed to doing things without delay.
Observations/Interpretation:
What do I learn about the character of
Jesus? Jesus is
not a procrastinator.
Observations:
What do I learn about the company of
Jesus? 1. Jesus
was in the company of James and John.
Observations:
I asked myself what does
Jesus do?
1.
Jesus saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat
preparing their nets.
2.
Jesus calls them without delay.
Observations:
I asked myself what do the disciples do?
1.
Without delay when Jesus called, James
and John left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men.
2. Without delay when Jesus called, James
and John followed him.
Interpretations:
I asked myself why is it significant that James
and John left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and
followed Jesus?
I found it very interesting that James and John left their
father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Jesus because
at the time they were giving up their own father's business to pursue the business
of Jesus when Jesus called them. They were in the business of fishing
for fish and when Jesus calls, they follow the business of Jesus to fish
for the souls of men. In essence, they pursue the business of God
:)
Also, they do not leave their father alone but with the hired men.
This is significant because it shows that when they followed Jesus, they
did not just leave their dad's business in limbo. Everything Scripture
mentions has a reason even phrases such as 'hired men'.
It is also significant because they trusted the hired men to help
their dad while they went into the business of following Jesus.
Implications:
No matter what
business I am doing whether it is family owned or not, when Jesus
calls, I need to follow the business of Jesus if He is moving me away
from what I am currently doing to another position He wants me to invest
my life and time in. At the same time, I
need to entrust the business I was doing to hired help. Especially, when
it relates to family, I need to entrust the business to others who can
help the family.
But more than that, for me to be in the
business of Jesus means, that I don't give my allegiance to any
political party except to be in the business of Jesus, reaching
souls for Christ. That is why I am neither registered as a
Republican nor Democrat but an Independent. This does not mean, I
don't get involved in political affairs because for me to be in the
business of Jesus means not separating my faith from politics. My
faith in Christ has to influence my political involvement seeing
political affairs through the eyes of Scripture. So, if we want to
be in the business of Jesus, we cannot just be a bystander but need
to get involved.
This could be different for different
people but they should go the path the Lord is leading them through
Scripture testing every decision with Scripture. To be in the
business of Jesus is to address unborn lives matter (most vulnerable
and in danger in U.S and world), religiously persecuted lives
matter (most vulnerable in the U.S and world), ethnically
persecuted lives matter (vulerable in the U.S and world),
black lives matter (most vulnerable and danger in U.S.)
So, for me being in the business of Jesus
means looking not only to what is happening in the U.S. but what is
happening in the world that shows us how many are dying daily
because of abortion, religious persecution, ethnic persecution, etc.
They are the most lives that are in danger across the world whether
it is in Africa, India, Middle Eastern countries, etc. This does not
negate what is happening in the U.S with Black Lives Matter :(
As an Evangelical Christian, my heart
aches to see what happened to George Floyd, a black man when a white
officer Chauvin, who swore to serve and protect the citizens, used
his knee as an instrument of death. He pressed and pressed his knee,
killing a life that had breath by suffocating the air out of him.
When I see the picture of his knee on Floyd and recall the words of
Floyd: 'I can't breathe, I can't breathe, Mama, Mama, I am going to
die, they are going to kill me', tears well up in my eyes. This
human being made in the image of God, being ruthlessly killed by a
officer he was supposed to trust to serve and protect him making him
lose his life in 8 pain filled minutes. Instead, he was seen as less
than human by the officers viscious actions and Floyd's rights were
violated.
As an Evangelical Christian, if my heart
aches for what happened to George Floyd, a black man, my heart
breaks for what happens to the unborn daily in the U.S. and the
world.
When doctors who take an Hippocratic oath to serve and protect life,
use their instruments for death, how should that make me feel?
They press and press their instruments, killing a life that has
breath by suffocating the air out of them and pulling them apart.
What would you do if you heard a baby in the womb use these words:
'I can't breathe, I can't breathe, Mama, Mama, I am going to die,
they are going to kill me'?.
This baby made in the image of God, being ruthlessly killed and
pulled apart by a doctor and his team, that was supposed to trusted
to serve and protect. Instead, the baby is seen as less than human
by the doctor's viscious actions. A baby is not protected daily and
the babies rights have been violated.
What if you saw the video of what happens during an 8 min abortion
procedure when a white doctor uses an instrument and goes inside the
body of a black woman and suffocates the black baby?
Wake up! Don't kid yourself. Black Lives Matter!!! It is white
doctors that mostly kill black babies. This is not to say that black
doctors don't kill black babies.
Remember the viscious baby killer Gosnell?
Sadly, when it comes to the unborn, all ethnicities are killed daily
by different ethnic doctors :(
The world is outraged because of the Floyd
video and they should be because the media shows it over and over.
Yet, these same media people who claim that 'Black Lives Matter'
won't show what white doctors do to black babies every single day
killing them in the womb.
You know who is trying to protect them?
A White Person!!! Black Lives Matter!!
Around the world, what if the media showed what happens in an
abortion procedure that lasts 8 min or so?
Being in the business of Jesus means for
me to ensure another George Floyd will not happen again (Black Lives
Matter) but it is also to ensure another unborn life is not aborted
(Unborn Lives Matter). Protest to ensure 'Black Lives Matter'
but also protest to ensure 'Unborn Lives Matter'. Both are being
killed by those who swore an oath to serve and protect. Be a voice
for the voiceless! Be the Voice of Truth!
"Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to
death; don't stand back and let them die. Don't try to disclaim
responsibility by saying you didn't know about it. For God, who
knows all hearts, knows yours, and he knows you knew! And he will
reward everyone according to his deeds!" (Proverbs 24: 11-12, TLB)
"You created all the delicate inner parts of
my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for
making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous and
how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter
seclusion. You saw before I was born and scheduled all the days of
my life before I began to breathe. How precious are your thoughts
towards me Oh Lord. I cannot even count how many times a day your
thoughts turn towards me and when I wake up in the morning, you are
still thinking about me!" (Psalm 139:13-18, TLB)
Being in the business of Jesus does not
mean I am oblivious to what is happening around me but taking a
stand and getting involved. Defunding abortion clinic
providers saves unborn lives especially black babies because 'Unborn
Lives Matter' and 'Black Lives Matter' let us do it. However,
defunding police kills more lives in the long run especially black
lives with no protection. Black Lives Matter!
So, when I vote, I see who is the most
vulnerable in comparison to others in the world. I choose a
candidate whose policies reflect protecting 'Unborn Lives Matter'
the most across the U.S and World. Then, I choose a candidate whose
policies protect the religiously persecuted in the U.S. and the
world. Later, I choose a candidate whose polices protect the
ethnically persecuted in the U.S. and the world. This does not mean
'Black Lives' don't matter. They do! Every life matter but these
lives are in more danger than even Black Lives: Unborn, religiously
persecuted, and ethnically persecuted across the U.S and world. I
vote in that order.
I am going to dramatize a story Jesus
told. There was a shepherd with 100 sheep of all sizes. He loved all
of them. However a black sheep kept getting in danger more
than the other sheep. This black sheep was getting lost a lot. So,
the shepherd invests his energy to save that one black sheep. It
does not mean all the other 99 sheep did not matter to the shepherd.
At a moment in time, this one sheep needed attention more to get it
out of danger. The Bible says we are all sheep who have gone astray.
To make my point that 'Black Lives Matter', I have used a black
sheep in the illustration. When the black sheep is taken care of, he
brings the sheep back into the fold with the other sheeps. When we
care and say 'Unborn Lives Matter', 'Religiously Persecuted Lives
Matter', 'Ethnically Persecuted Lives Matter', it does not mean the
other lives don't matter. They just need more attention right now
proportionally. We pray for the day that we don't even need signs
that say 'Unborn Lives Matter', 'Religiously Persecuted Lives
Matter', 'Ethnically Persecuted Lives Matter', 'Black Lives Matter',
'Blue Lives Matter', etc because people will see all are made in the
image of God and will try to protect all life.
I ask you now dear friends, how do you rate in
the business of Jesus?
Dear friend, now
how you rate in the business of Jesus will depend on what you do in
the business of Jesus. Jesus is the Caring Eternal Officer (CEO) and
He is calling you to join His team when you are called. It is important
that you understand the organization culture of the business of Jesus.
Four things are emphasized heavily in the business of Jesus: Word of
God, Prayer, Church: The Body of Believers with Christ as the Head, and Missions.
Whatever business you are in whether it is family owned or
not, if you follow the Lord's calling into ministry, you are actually
joining the business of Jesus. You maybe asked to leave behind the
business you were doing or utilize what you learned in the business you
are doing for the Kingdom of God.
I am reminded of my loving, sweetheart wife
Chandraleela's
words
who always wants me to be in the business of Jesus first. One day, she
told me to always make sure that I have my devotional times with the
Lord and share those thoughts with her and others even if it means we
got to talk less and spend time together less. I was so touched to see how much Chandra wanted me to
put the Lord first. Help me Lord Jesus!
Being in the business of Jesus does not mean to ignore family so I
intend to spend time with the Lord and make time for my dearest wife and
my precious two daughters Esther and Evangeline to
spend time with them. She wants to be in the business of Jesus and is so
supportive. I am thankful to the Lord that I can share what I learned in
God's Word and it's implications with my darling wife and others to
read.
I also love the amount of time the
Bucknell's
and
the
Cheng's
have spent time
with their children while they were growing
up. Being a
pastor has a lot of responsibilities but from my experience they have
never let their pastorate position come in the way of pastoring the
family the Lord Jesus has given them. They do well in the business of
Jesus by pastoring the flock that they have been given especially in the
home. Now, the
Halubka's have
reminded me the importance of individual time with my children.
Pastor Josh
shared with me how their family has spent individual time with their
children even in his busy schedule of pastoring.
I believe Jesus chose two family of brothers first to be in the business
of Jesus to set an example of what family means and the importance of
reaching family members with the Gospel when we are in the business of
Jesus. Thank you Jesus!
I shared with you couple of examples of those who want to be in the
business of Jesus. I can share a lot more but then I will never get
done.
The Word of God gives us the instruction manual on how to follow
Jesus effectively and be successful in the business of Jesus from the
Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation. We learn how we can be
successful by following the Word of God.
"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day
and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in
it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." (Joshua 1:8, NIV)
As we follow the Word of God, we are reminded of man's sinful
condition to the point that man needs to have an attitude of rendition.
In the business of Jesus, having an attitude of rendition for our
condition is utmost important.
"No one is good, not one. All have sinned and fallen short of the
glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
We need to realize how much Jesus emphasizes our sinful condition in
the Word and the solution is found in Him. Jesus is the CEO with the
perfect solution when we join the business of Jesus.
We need to join the business of Jesus because without being in the
business of Jesus, we will be in the business of Satan. There is no
middle ground. Satan is about sin and its bondage while Jesus is about
sanctification and its blessings.
The perfect solution to man's condition of being separated from God
because of their sin is to take what the CEO offers to all followers who
now join His business.
The solution did not start with humanity but it started with God who
sent us Jesus, our Caring Eternal Officer (CEO). To build His Kingdom
and followers, Jesus took upon Himself to die for the sins of humanity
shedding His precious cleansing blood.
Jesus did not entice followers to join the Kingdom of God with money
to build His business but built the business with His own precious
cleansing blood to reach the souls of men.
Friend, Jesus died on the cross for you and me because that is how
much He loves you. It did not end there because His precious cleansing
blood became the antidote for all humanity that has been in bondage to
sin being its prisoner. The antidote or the key to freedom has been
provided. But now friend, you and I have to take the antidote or the key
in our lives. We need to let the antidote wash us and wipe away the
deadly virus in us. We need to let the key unlock the chains we are
bound in for the precious blood of Jesus Christ can dissolve all the sin
in us, freeing us.
It starts with turning our lives over to Jesus and following His
business. His business is the best business we can be in for Eternity.
Yes, friend you and I can join His business.
Jesus called the disciples to join His business so they can fish for
the souls of men. Jesus calls us to join His business too by a complete
rendition of our lives to Him for starters. That starts with
prayer to the Lord confessing and repenting of our sin.
We come to
learn the emphasis put on prayer in the Word of God and need to adapt
praying into our daily cycle. But it is not any kind of praying but
praying the Word of God for the Lord's will to be done. Prayer is in
essence talking to Jesus. Regardless of how earthly businesses are run,
in the business of Jesus we can get to directly communicate with our
perfect CEO. This is important and encouraged. Jesus was all about
transformational leadership. Jesus wants to transform His followers. It
does not end there.
One of the ways Jesus wants to transform His
followers is mostly through the power of the Holy Spirit working in our
lives and as He uses His Church, the body of believers to accomplish the vision in the business.
In essence, emphasizing being part of a community of believers becomes
utmost importance. Now as we are in a community of believers, studying
the Word of God putting it into practice through the power of prayer, we
can actually be equipped, enabled, and empowered in the business of
Jesus to engage in the Mission he has called all of us.
Yes, friend it is so exciting for me! I pray that it will be exciting
for you to join in the business of Jesus. Friend, if you are reading
this and do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Savior who
can free you from the bondage of sin and death, come as you are and give
your life over to Jesus. Allow Him to dissolve all the sin in you with
His precious cleansing blood so you can be seen as righteous in the eyes
of God being saved for Eternity. It can happen friend but you have to
open your heart to Jesus.
God desires that none should perish but that
all come into repentance.
That means you and me too friend. No matter what kind of earthly
business we are in or have been in, Jesus will take us in into His
company when we turn to Him. Jesus is a transformational leader and we
can be excited to serve Him and be under His leadership. I know I am and
I ask you to join me if you don't yet know Jesus as your Lord and
Personal Savior.
If you want to turn your life over to Jesus Christ, you can do it
right now. Pray the second prayer below to rendition your condition over
to Jesus.
If you already know Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior, bring
others to join you in the business of Jesus. It starts first with
reaching out to them with the love of Christ. When Jesus asked Andrew,
Peter, James, and John to follow Him, it was to fish for the souls of
men.
When Jesus asks you to follow Him, He will use the knowledge and
skills you already have to build the Kingdom of God as He transforms you
with the power of the Holy Spirit. He is working in my life and will
work in yours too. I am so EXCITED!
Being in the business of Jesus also will influence the way we live
our lives as we yield to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Let others rate you in the business of Jesus to see where you need to
improve. Most of all ask the Lord Jesus Himself to rate you how you are
doing in the business of Jesus. Now is the time my friend, don't delay!
May you know business under Savior's instruction now empowers servitude
Scripturally!
"Business Under Savior's Instruction Now
Empowers Servitude Scripturally" (B.U.S.I.N.E.S.S.)/"How do you rate in
the B.U.S.I.N.E.S.S of Jesus?"
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you so much for what I have learned today. I
learned that James and John left their father Zebedee with the hired
help and followed you when you called them. Oh Lord Jesus, I pray right
now no matter what I am doing, when you call me specifically to a
mission or task in your business Oh Lord, that I would follow
diligently. I pray for my focus to be people-oriented instead of
task-oriented. You are all about reaching out. Help us Oh Lord to use
your instruction manual always no matter what job you have called us to
do because you place us in strategic locations for your Kingdom Oh Lord
giving us your Word as our source of power when we use it as Your Holy
Spirit works in us. Help us to talk to you
frequently knowing you are there for us and desire to help us. Help us
to be part of a community of believers that believe in the Word of God
and preach your Word from Genesis to Revelation. Oh Father God, thank
you for your Son, Jesus Christ and all He has done and will
continue to do. Help us to follow the Great Commission you have given
all of us to go into all the world making disciples, preaching the
Gospel, baptizing in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit, knowing you are with us always. Help us to be open to your
calling and not circumvent it with our own desires. Thank you so much
Jesus. We want you to rate us high in the business you have called us
to! Thank you so much Jesus. Thank you for hearing us and answering us! In Your Name I Pray Jesus! Amen!
May the Lord Jesus guide you in
His love leading you! Amen!
No matter what you feel in your heart,
know that Jesus has come in and resides with you! You are not alone! To
make your walk strong with the Lord, spend time in prayer talking to Him
as you would to a friend. You don’t need special words to talk to the
Lord. Spend time in His Word reading Psalms and turning them into
prayer. Next allow God to heal you and speak to you through the Gospel
of John or Gospel of
Mark before moving on to other Books of the Bible! Slowly, let the Lord
show you to which Scriptures He wants you to go to next. It is also important to be part of a body of believers to
help you grow in the faith. Find a Bible believing church that preaches
the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation proclaiming Jesus Christ our
crucified and risen Lord who brings us hope, healing, and help by His
grace alone!
