Today's take is on the digit 9:

“A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall.”  (1 Samuel 17:4, NIV)

  “In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea, son of Elah became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned nine years.” (2 Kings 17:1, NIV)

Jesus healed 10 lepers but nine of them did not even thank the Lord but went their own way except a Samaritan who returned to thank Jesus. This is very significant because Samaritans do not even associate with the Jews. Here we see Jesus healing a Samaritan with leprosy and we see a Samaritan returning thanks to Jesus and giving praise to God. (Ref: Luke 17)

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!” (Acts 2:1-4, 14-15, NIV)
