People who know me know that anytime during the school year, if you ask me how's
life, I'll say "stressed." But I know what I signed up for, and I'm willing to
put forth the effort to get what I want. I always get what I want...if I want it
bad enough.
It bothers me though, to see my peers/family expecting something for nothing. In
the words of P. Diddy (out of all people to quote), "nobody owes you nothing".
And to follow up with another cliché (all time favorite), "You gotta pay the
cost to be the boss."
You can't continue to do the same things that you've always done and expect
something new to happen. It's just not logical.
Don't tell me that you want to be thinner and then every time I see you, you are
eating hoho's and twinkies.
Don't tell me that you want to make A's, but you are always skipping class.
If you don't have "follow-through" in your life, you need to know that (quoted
from Jade Jackson), and not tell me what you "want." Because I'll quickly lose
respect for you.
Don't talk about it, BE about it. Are you 'bout it?
I'm 'bout it.
For those who actually listened to Master P back in the day, I should say: "You
bawddy..I'm bawddy bawddy"
