"But what do you think about this? A man with two sons told the
older boy, 'Son, go out and work on the farm today.' 'I won't, he
answered, but later he changed his mind and went. Then the father
told the youngest, 'You go!' and he said, 'Yes, sir, I will.' But he
didn't. Which of the two was obeying his father?" They [Religious
leaders] replied, "The first, of course." Then Jesus explained his
meaning: "Surely evil men and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom
before you do [Religious leaders]. For John the Baptist told you to
repent and turn to God, and you wouldn't, while very evil men and
prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused
to repent, and so you couldn't believe." (Matt 21:28-32, TLB)
When I asked Esther, my precious 7-year
old daughter , 'Who was obeying the father?'
Her response was, 'The oldest son!'.
I said, "But he answered 'I won't'"
Her response was, "He still obeyed compared to the youngest son"
One day she reminded me, "Daddy, Joe Biden
has been in the swamp for 47 years!"
In essence, she made me realize that Democratic presidential
candidate Joe Biden was the one who was the disobedient person
because like many politicians that promise many things but break
those promises once they are in office, Biden barely did anything in
his 47 years.
Biden is the classic example of 'Yes, sir, I
will.' But he didn't'
He barely did anything in his 47 years for the African-American
community except call them super predators and jungle people. Not
only that but he was the author of the crime bill that
disproportionately incarcerated Blacks. But he has not stopped there
when it comes to the Black community.
He believes 'You ain't Black' if you vote for
President Trump.
Some of his comments come of as him believing Black woman are not
good for anything else except to stock grocery shelves during the
COVID-19 pandemic so white people such as him can get their
groceries.
Of all the Black woman that Biden could have chosen for his
vice-presidential candidate, he did not even choose an
African-American woman. Instead, he chose a former prosecutor who
deliberately inflicted more harm to African Americans through her
prosecution than helped them out. She is no friend of African
Americans! No wonder in her own primary, she was called out by
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard for her actions as a
prosecutor. I am talking about Sen. Kamala
Harris who is the Democratic vice-presidenial candidate.
Harris is a Jamaican-Indian who was ostracized by Gabbard, another
person of Indian descent. Harris may look Black but she ain't
African-American. I could care less that Harris has Indian roots
like me but even Gabbard knew Harris was wrong for America
especially African-American people.
My African-American brothers and sisters, please don't ever forget
that both Biden and Harris hurt African-Americans with their
policies and prosecutions. Now, they want your vote! How convenient!
Yet, they are the ones that support the Negro
Project that has 79% of abortion clinics in African American
communities. The Negro Project was started by
Margaret Sanger to eradicate African Americans. But, you will
know it more by it's current name: Planned Parenthood.
For years, Democrats have been pandering to the African-American
community villianizing and demonizing the Republicans as racists and
hurters of Black people. Year after year, they have gotten away with
it while they get richer and the communities where many
African-Americans live crumble while the crime rate surges.
Biden and the DNC have been the "I will people, but never do
anything"
If you don't believe me, look at the statistics in the
Democratically run cities where Democrats are in control. It is
African-Americans that are suffering. This has to stop!
Four years ago, Esther told me that she voted for Trump.
I thought my four-year old daughter at the time was joking but she
told me that she really did.
"Daddy, I went with Nanny [Grandma] and pulled the lever for Trump."
Now fast forward to now when she is eight years old! She is
definitely a Trump fan because she knows Biden did nothing for 47
years in the swamp. It is hard for me to believe that Biden will do
anything different now. I was shocked to hear her talk about 47
years and the swamp because I don't ever remember talking with her
about Biden.
I know Pres Trump has done more in 3.5 years for the
African-American community than Biden-Harris have done in their
whole political career. Now I am supposed to believe all of a sudden
they have seen the light to help African-Americans!
Hogwash! Utterly Hogwash!
Now when I think about the older son in the story above, I am
reminded of President Trump.
"I won't he answered, but later he changed his mind and went."
This is a similar statement Trump made regarding a stimulus bill but
later changed his mind and had another bill offer put forth for
Rep. Nancy Pelosi to agree which she
did not for political reasons.
But more than that, Trump has been the president that has done more
for the African-American community since
Abraham Lincoln.
To my Detroit friends, my favorite campaign sound byte from Trump to
the African-American community in 2016 was something to the effect:
"Give me a chance, what do you got to lose?"
Sadly, majority of African-Americans did not believe him at the time
and voted for Clinton. But, Trump did
not disappoint the African-Americans that voted for him. As a
businessman who knows the importance of keeping your word and
promises, he has been the 'Promises Made, Promises Kept' president
for African-Americans and all Americans who trusted him with their
vote.
Under his leadership before COVID-19, African-Americans benefited
the most from the First Step Act legislation, African-American
unemployment was the lowest, African-American wages were better,
opportunity zones for African-Americans were rising, and
African-American colleges were funded better, etc.
But more than that, what I find the most amazing is the number of
African Americans that spoke at the Republican Convention in support
of Trump and the number of congressional candidates running for
congress as African American Republicans.
I am so proud of President Trump for being a Republican president
who took care of African-Americans the best he could. He is the only
Republican president that I can think of that did more for
African-Americans in recent history.
Yet, the media portray Trump as this very evil person in comparison
to Biden. Not only that but the mainstream media portray Trump as
this non-religious person who just went to the St. John's church to
hold the Holy Bible for a photo op while Biden is portrayed as this
Catholic believer who deserves the votes of Catholics.
For argument sake, let's suppose this is true. I loved the question
Jesus asked of the religious leaders and Jesus' explanation of the
meaning after they answered his question.
Then Jesus explained his meaning:
"Surely evil men and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom before
you [Religious leaders] do. For John the Baptist told you to repent
and turn to God, and you wouldn't, while very evil men and
prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused
to repent, and so you couldn't believe." (Matthew 21:31b-32, TLB)
Wow! Jesus is telling the religious leaders that they are the
younger son in the story who promise to do things but never do while
very evil men and prostitutes are the older son in the story, where
they say they won't do something but in the end do it.
In other words, the religious leaders are the ones who say, "I will
follow God, but don't follow God but man made ideas" while very evil
men and prostitutes are those who say, "I won't follow God but in
the end follow God's ways over man's ways."
I equate Biden with the religious leaders of that day and this day
who are part of the 'Not Our Faith' Super PAC against Trump. They
want people to believe that Christians should not vote for an evil
man like Trump but it is okay to vote for Biden. Hogwash! By his
actions, Biden does not live out his Catholic faith when you look at
his stance on abortion that even a Cardinal refused to give him
Communion for his abortion stance.
When I look at the Bible passage, Jesus is taking the side of very
evil men and prostitutes who repent and come to Him than those that
say they are religious but don't repent and come to Him.
Wow! Scripturally, I wonder if Jesus would be more comfortable
sitting and having a meal with Trump (One who is seen as
non-religious/evil by many but passes policies that are morally
biblical) than Biden (One who is seen as religious/good by many but
curtails policies that are morally biblical)
We need look no further than the issue of abortion.
Trump has been the first president in U.S history to speak at the
March for Life 2020 in Washington, D.C, which I had the honor
of covering being about 5 feet away from him, where he talked about
the destructiveness of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized
abortion that has killed more than 65 million babies.
On the contrary, the Biden-Harris ticket has been the most
pro-abortion ticket in U.S presidential history. They are so
pro-Abortion that they did not even allow the Democrats for Life to
speak at the Democratic covention. They are okay with abortions even
until the 9th month of pregnancy. That is so sad!
My pastor was talking to me about a radio talk show host named
'Albert Mohler' who said he would
rather vote for a Communist who is Pro-Life than a non-Communist who
is Pro-Choice.
I believe life begins at conception being created by the Author of
Life. This life should not be terminated by any man or woman. Only
the Author of Life can give and take away. It is not up to humans!
The Biden-Harris ticket will leave it up to humans to terminate
while the Trump-Pence ticket will continue to offer so many
protections for the unborn unlike any other Republican or Democratic
administration. Just recently, Trump signed an excecutive order for
the Born Alive Act that Democrats don't want to even bring before
for a vote. This is sad!
A lot of people think that Trump is the scum of the earth and that
Biden is good for the earth.
The religious leaders such as 'Not our Faith' would side with the
Biden camp than with the Trump camp.
If these religious leaders saw Jesus eating a meal with Trump, what
do you think their response would be?
"But when some of the Jewish religious leaders saw him eating with
these men of ill repute, they said to his disciples, "How can he
stand it, to eat with such scum?" "When Jesus heard what they were
saying, he told them,"Sick people need the doctor, not healthy ones!
I haven't come to tell good people to repent, but the bad ones."
(Mark 2:16-17, TLB)
Jesus does not base his verdict on people's words alone but their
actions. Actions have to speak louder than words.
"Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit
produced. Not all who sound religious are really godly people. They
may refer to me as 'Lord' but still won't get to heaven. For the
decisive question is whether they obey my Father in Heaven. At the
Judgment many will tell me, 'Lord, Lord, we told others about you
and used your name to cast out demons and to do many other great
miracles.' But I will reply, 'You have never been mine. Go away, for
your deeds are evil. All who listen to my instructions and follow
them are wise, like a man who builds his house on solid rock." (Matt
7:20-24, TLB)
These past four years, Trump's actions regarding the unborn and
other issues such as Israel, defeating ISIS, protecting the
religious liberties of people, helping those who have been
incarcerated, helping poor communities, putting original jurists on
the Supreme Ct, etc have spoken louder in actions than the words of
Biden.
Evangelical leaders and voters don't take this issue of voting for
Trump lightly. When I voted for Trump in 2016, I did it with my nose
closed because he was a lesser evil than Hillary. I did not even go
to his inauguration because I did not want to be associated with
Trump not knowing what his policies would be. I was always
disappointed by politicians who made promises and broke promises.
More than anything, I voted for him because of his response
regarding the unborn and his decision to put originalists on the
Supreme Court. I have not been disappointed. Now with my head high,
I can vote for him in 2020.
Trump is the only president that I know of that I can proudly say,
"Promises Made, Promises Kept"
Biden does not have a record to stand on. The record from his past
shows his animosity towards African-Americans. It just boggles my
mind if African-Americans want to support him.
Actions are louder than words!
Is the Lord responsible for Trump to be in power?
I believe the Lord allowed Trump to be in power for His own
purposes.
"For promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from
God. He promotes one and deposes another." (Psalm 75:6-7, TLB)
Does that mean Trump will win again in 2020?
That is up to the Lord! If the Lord wants him to win, he will win.
If the Lord wants him to lose, he will lose. Whatever the outcome,
He allows His for His purposes. I hope it would please the Lord to
allow him to win because of many of his polices especially regarding
the unborn and religious freedom, but that is up to the Lord.
I know that I have to do my part and leave the results in the Lord's
hands.
What Trump needs to do is be more humble realizing policies are
important to Independent Evangelical Christians like me but there
are those that could care less for policies and care more on
personality. I think that is a big mistake though!
You can have a religious person who people claim has the
greatest personality but if his policies kill the unborn, what's the
point?
I would rather vote for an obnoxious TV personality whose policies
save the unborn than someone with a personality that kills the
unborn.
Going back to the passage of Matthew 21:28-32, I believe Biden
represents the views of liberal religious leaders who hate to follow
the teachings of Jesus. Jesus always emphasized
it is better to obey God than man and
fear of man is a dangerous trap but to trust
in God means safety. Sadly, the Biden-Harris ticket even took
God away from most of the Democratic Convention. How shocking!
On the contrary, for all of Trump's shortcomings, atleast he knows
the power of God. That would have been more apparent after his
miraculous healing in such a short time from COVID-19. Trump
believes not taking Christ out of Christmas and God out of the
equation.
Trump said, "Every family who lost
a loved one... I just want to say an extra-special prayer," "I want
to give my warmest sympathies to the families that have lost
someone, and I've lost many friends....We know that God hears our
prayers, we have no doubt about it. He's always with us and he'll
always help us to overcome this challenge...I just want to thank
everybody and I want to thank God for working miracles, and I ask
God for the wisdom and grace to lead our country and to lead it at
the top level..." (Trump prays for 'wisdom and grace' to lead
country in call with Evangelical leaders, Caleb Parke)
When
you decide to cast your vote remember the Word of God:
"Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to
death; don't stand back and let them die. Don't try to disclaim
responsibility by saying you didn't know about it. For God, who
knows all hearts, knows yours, and he knows you knew! And he will
reward everyone according to his deeds!" (Proverbs 24: 11-12, TLB)
"You created all the delicate inner parts of
my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for
making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous and
how well I know it. You were there while I was being formed in utter
seclusion. You saw me before I was born and scheduled all the days of
my life before I began to breathe. How precious are your thoughts
towards me Oh Lord. I cannot even count how many times a day your
thoughts turn towards me and when I wake up in the morning, you are
still thinking about me!" (Psalm 139:13-18, TLB)
The Lord said to me, "I knew you before you were formed within your
mother's womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed
you as my spokesman to the world." (Jeremiah 1:5, TLB)
Ezekiel 3:18-21 warns us that if we
have the opportunity to do right in a situation but do not do it,
the blood will be on our hands.
I cannot choose to do my own things and then expect people to
believe that I am a follower of Christ. Calling Lord, Lord does not
make me anymore Christian than just believing.
Can voting ever be a deed that becomes evil?
"Are there still some among you who hold that "only believing" is
enough? Believing in one God? Well, remember that the demons believe
this too--so strongly that they tremble in terror! Fool! When will
you ever learn that "believing" is useless without doing what God
wants you to? Faith that does not result in good deeds is not real
faith." (James 2:19-20, TLB)
As a follower of Christ, we cannot separate our vote from our faith.
This is not a political issue more than a moral issue.
Will we let the blood of the unborn be on our hands when we know
their blood is more than all the issues put together?
As followers of Christ, if we let our hatred towards Trump get in
the way of protecting the unborn, make no mistake that the
Biden-Harris ticket will have a chance to continue to promote the
slaughter of the unborn. First of all, hatred should have no place
in a Christian's faith.
If those that say they follow Jesus but don't want to vote to
protect the unborn, it is a valid question to ask,
"Are they really a follower of Christ when
they adamantly choose to vote for the Biden-Harris ticket which is
the most pro-abortion ticket in the history of the nation?"
Where do you stand on your vote?
People may have a lot of reasons to hate Trump but is that hatred a
reason enough to allow the unborn to be slaughtered?
Can any issue be more important than the slaughter of the unborn?
I don't think so!
