Reddy's crazy NFL final rankings after week 2Ramesh C. Reddy The following week, when a team plays their opponent and wins against a winning or losing team, they get the teams winning percentage points of the previous week. If a team keeps beating a winning team, their percentage of points will be higher than if they beat a losing team. If a team plays an opponent and loses, they do not get any points for that week. Each week the points are tabulated and based on the points, I pick the top 10 teams of the NFL for that week including where all the other teams stand. If there is a tie in the point system, the net difference in their PF/PA is calculated and the team that has the highest net difference of points breaks the tie unless their record is better than the other teams with the same point system. If the tie continues, the team that won most games away from home would get the tie breaker. If it continues, it is based on their conference record, and then their division record. They are called Reddy’s Crazy Rankings, because I am ready to
take an undefeated team out of the Top 10 if their wins came against losing
teams. Hopefully, these rankings will show who really are in the hunt to be Super
Bowl Contenders and who really are in the hunt to be Super Bowl Pretenders
as December and January approaches. Reddy's Reasonings After Week 2: The Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions took the worst ratings loss falling in the rankings by 16! The Steelers dropped from being #3 after week 1 to #19 after a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs! The Detroit Lions dropped from being #5 after week 1 to #21 after a loss to the Green Bay Packers! After week 2 of the NFL, the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys made the best improvements in rankings! The Saints moved from being #26 after week 1 to # 6 after beating the undefeated Houston Texans! The Coyboys moved from being #25 after week 1 to #8 after beating the undefeated New York Giants in an overtime thriller! The Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) took first place in the rankings moving up 8 places in the rankings after ousting the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers in week 2! They took first place from the San Francisco 49ers whose loss to the St. Louis Rams dropped them to #13 in the rankings. The strength of schedule gives the NFC eight teams in the top 10 and the AFC two teams in the top 10. The two teams in the AFC taking the top 10 are not surprising as they are Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills whom people think are contenders for the Super Bowl!
